The Band
Madam Anarchy is all about emotion! The band thrives on creating solid, riff driven songs with lyrics to die for. Be warned, Madam Anarchy’s songs will get in your head and set up camp. The band members are an eclectic bunch with backgrounds and interests that vary almost as much as the Sunshine Coast’s weather patterns. Guitarist, and owner of The Noosa School of Rock, Steve Smythe set out to form a band for 369 different reasons (that’s an approximation). The drummer of the band, Dan King, was a frequent of the regular Noosa School of Rock jam sessions. It wasn’t long before Steve and Dan started to talk about doing some gigs and in typical Steve fashion it only took a few short moments before the, for some time, nameless band was formed. Andrew Healey, one of the Coast’s regular and sought after professional musos was quikly snapped up to play the part of bass gutaist, vocalist, keyboarder, backup guitarist, backup drummer, sound dude, creative monster, and anything else I have missed. The bands lead vocalist and image representative, Ebanie Jayah, was the final piece to the Madam Anarchy puzzle. Ebanie brought quite a bit to the band that the other three could not, some purely gender related, but others just total talent such as a high note that leaves listeners with their jaws on the floor.
